Causes of error: The main cause, apart from defective wear parts, is incorrect positioning of the crimp contact under the insulation crimper. or incorrect installation of the insulation crimper in the crimp applicator.
Important: Tilting the crimp flanks can have a negative effect on the cavity play!
The following overview lists the possible causes that may lead to a tilting of the insulation crimp flanks:

Fig. A and B:(3) The insulation crimper in the wear part set of the crimping tool is positioned incorrectly.

Fig. C and D: (3) The crimp contact is positioned incorrectly. The crimp contact is not in the correct position on the anvil.
The contact position also influences the size of the bellmouths.
