Reliable connections for more than 50 years - the success story of the wire end ferrule with plastic collar
The beginning
When school friends Hans Zoller and Hans Fröhlich began manufacturing and designing switch cabinets and control panels in October 1963, they were quickly faced with the problem of safely inserting flexible cables, consisting of many individual strands, into a terminal point with regard to electrical connections.
In this example, the functional principle is illustrated using a square crimp. The basic functions of a crimping tool for wire end ferrules with automatic cross-section adjustment are the same for all crimp shapes.
